Hunt Club Woods Ottawa Neighbourhood Tour

Welcome to the Hunt Club Woods – Quintarra – Revelstoke neighbourhood! This long, narrow River Ward area takes us from Heron Park in the north all the way down to HERE at Echolands Park in the South. Most of this neighbourhood sits on the eastern shore of the Rideau River.

We’re going to start in the southern part of this suburban Ottawa area, which is very close to the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport. Also just known as the Ottawa International Airport, it was first opened back in 1927 and is now Ontario’s second busiest airport.

This major international connection serves as an airport of entry and retains its military heritage as the base for one of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Transport Squadrons. At just over 10 kilometres from downtown Ottawa, the airport is very convenient for those traveling into the area from all over the world.
