What else can you get up to in Crystal Bay—Lakeview Park? The area is famous for the Nepean Sailing Club in Dick Bell Park. Since its opening in 1979, the club has grown to 1900 members who enjoy its amenities from April through October.
The club is home to youth and adult training programs and a full calendar of racing events throughout the season. Its restaurant, The Galley, is open to the public and has a tremendous view of the harbour from its patio.
The Nepean Sailing Club grounds are also a haven for bird and wildlife watchers. You may spot an Arctic tern or a loggerhead shrike through your binoculars, but be careful that you don’t miss an otter or a porcupine!
